Dear colleagues,
The international journal for science, techniques and innovations for the industry “Machines, Technologies, Materials” is published by the Scientific-Technical Union of Mechanical Engineering with the support of an International editors board . It is a continuation of the publication activity of the Union begun before more than 50 years with the journal “Mechanical Engineering” and passed into the “Scientific Information of the Scientific-Technical Union of Mechanical Engineering” which we published during the last 15 years.
The journal is accessible on our Union site www.mech-ing.com/journal and very soon it will become accessible to all after being included in the virtual libraries of our National Scientific-Technical Library and in one of the biggest virtual libraries in the world www.elibrary.ru having 25000 editions and more than 333000 subscribers all over the world. In perspective, the journal will also be included in other virtual libraries. The journal has been indexed by an american databas CAS - www.cas.org and the National German Library in Leipzig - http://d-nb.info/1018201459. The printed version is deposited in our National Library “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” and will be circulated to the technical libraries in Bulgaria and abroad. In Internet you will find the current complete issues and all articles will be accessible for reading and copying. The old issues will be archived and on the internet site you can read the content and “open” the abstract and the key words of the article. From the archive it will be possible to order a printout of the requested article or a CD with the whole journal.
The journal will be printed on the A4 book format and will have also CD variation. The articles will be published in Bulgarian, Russian or English languages with the abstract and the key words in English. The requirements to the authors who wish to publish articles are in the publishing requirements. By this international journal we wish to create an effective platform of the common European research space, accessible for wide circle of authors and readers from many countries. We consider the beginning as successful because since its signal issue, and its first and second issues the journal attracted authors from Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, Greece, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Germany, Latvia, Estonia, Serbia, and Ukraine, which published results of their research work.
We hope that we will be able to say “Welcome” to many more colleagues from many more countries as authors and readers of the “Machines, Technologies, Materials” – the journal that is trying to shorten the distance between the innovations and the industry.
